Specific cameras to research:

I am currently researching newer 20-30 megapixel cameras, and am not giving specific recommendations for specific brands or models. Please read customer reviews of all cameras before you consider a purchase.  Also be sure to study the manual. These cameras are very different that what you may be used to.

Picture taking steps:  after you have read the manual!
1.  Check batteries every time you set the camera up
2.  Pick a camera point to anchor your camera...to a tree, rock, or other structure
3.  Set it up in an open area free of shade
4.  Select a wind proof area or only turn it on on calmer days
5.  Standard rules of photo composition and lighting apply.
6.  Point camera northerly, so as to avoid sun flair.
7.  Secure camera and level it with a bubble level.
Minor pruning of tree branches, or waving grass may be needed.
8.  Do a test shot and check composition
9.  Correct composition if needed. Use shims to change camera angle
10. Secure the lock. Most camera models have locking devices that can be ordered.
11. Remove your scent!.  Unscented alcohol hand wipes work well. Bears eat cameras!!!
12. Note location or Use GPS to be more precise.

Must have features: Built in viewing screen, 16 - 32 SDHC memory card or larger, infrared flash (not strobe) high 20-30 mega-pixels, timed interval shooting modes, locking bar, appropriate operating temperature range.
